Have the summer off from work? Have some free time that you are looking to fill? How about volunteering at Golden Gateway! Please check out our Volunteer Page for more details about becoming a Volunteer Caregiver. As a Volunteer Caregiver, you will assist the staff in caring for the wonderful Goldens awaiting their "forever homes". Contact us at volunteer@dvgrr.org.
2009 BARK-B-QUE at GOLDEN GATEWAY
Bring the whole family to this fun filled, annual event! Real Pit BBQ is back this year, serving up ALL YOU CAN EAT pulled Chicken and Pork. And plenty of
tasty
side dishes! There will be Human and Dog games with Prizes as well as a Silent Auction and a 50/50 Drawing.
*Where? Golden Gateway, Rain or Shine!
*When? Saturday August 8th, Snacks at 3 pm, Dinner at 5 pm
*Cost? $35 per adult or $65 per couple. $20 for kids under 10.
*What’s for Dinner? ALL YOU CAN EAT pulled Chicken and Pork, Baked Beans, Pasta Salad, Cole Slaw and Desert. Drinks available by donation.
BYOB (DVGRR assumes no responsibility or liability for alcoholic beverages brought on to the property or consumed at the event).
*Who’s Invited? You and the whole family! All “dog friendly” dogs are welcome.
Must be on a 6 ft or shorter leash, no Flexis.

Lights, camera...fetch! Time to dig out those extra special photos or take some new ones of your favorite canine subject. Do you have a great shot of your adopted dog showing off, acting regal, being silly, or just sporting that great Golden "smile"?
We're getting lots of entries in already so don't miss out on the chance to show off your best pal in next year's DVGRR calendar. Entries are $10.00 per picture, and for a small additional donation you can also have your dog's birthday, "gotcha day" (the date you adopted your dog), or memorial date published in the calendar.
