Adopting one of our Goldens is a rewarding experience that requires patience and commitment, but will ultimately bring you great joy – just browse through our Success Stories for some examples!

To be considered for any of the dogs in our program, you must first complete our application process and be approved to adopt. The application process consists of three steps:

• The application form itself
• A reference provided by your veterinarian (waived if you have no current or former pets)
• An in-home interview (home visit)

If you would like to visit us at Golden Gateway, we offer our monthly Meet and Greet the Goldens Days on the second Saturday of each month. We invite you to attend, as these events are excellent opportunities to meet the Goldens in our program, talk with our staff and volunteers, and learn more about our organization.
