Employment at DVGRR

DVGRR is currently looking for dedicated, responsible, hard-working, compassionate individuals for immediate part-time employment opportunities in the kennel facility as a member of our Kennel Caregiver Team. (Must be 17 yrs. or older).

Duties include all facets of kennel shift work necessary for the care of the Golden Retrievers, Golden Doodles and other “golden-hearted” dogs in the program including food preparation and feeding, dispensing of medication, kennel cleaning, exercising/play times and cleaning up waste. This is a physically demanding job in that employees are on their feet for the entire shift, bending, lifting, kneeling and continually moving to care for the dogs. Also, employees will be outside a good portion of the shift regardless of weather conditions.

The majority of shifts – 75-80 percent will be evenings (4pm-9pm) – however interested persons MUST be available evenings, weekends (both day and evening) and holidays.

    You will receive continuous training from our Certified Trainer and Kennel Manager in behavior and positive reinforcement training. Because we will invest a great deal of time and resources, we want you to be aware that this is a long-term position.
