Continuing the Journey, Adopting, and Caring for a Puppy Mill Dog:
DVGRR’s Heather Hatt and Lisa Jagielski are offering a special class for adopters of puppy mill breeder dogs to help families with the ongoing transition from “hutch to home.”
The class will be divided into two sections. First will be Before you Adopt Your Puppy Mill Dog, from 9-10:30am and the second is After you Adopt Your Puppy Mill Puppy, from 11am-12:30pm. Cost is $20 per session or $35 for both.
This class is open to those who have adopted a puppy mill dog or a shy dog and want to learn more about helping the dog to gain confidence or work on challenges like housebreaking, leash walking, doorways, and meeting new people. We also welcome anyone who may be thinking of adopting a puppy mill breeder dog.
The class will be held Sat., November 18, 2017, with the first session starting at 9am at Golden Gateway.
(Note: The class will be indoors either at the Adoption & Activity Center or the Sanctuary.)
